Global Procurement Manager - Chemicals Industry

Our client, a premier international chemicals organization, is looking for a Global Procurement Manager to support the global activities related to the procurement of indirect corporate goods and services in spend commodities.
The Global Procurement Manager will be in charge of developing and implementing a strong competitive business advantage to successfully identify the sourcing and purchasing needs across the professional services category.
The Global Indirect Procurement Manager will be responsible for:
- Supporting supplier analysis and market intelligence activities
- Initiating RFPs / RFQs, analyses bids, negotiates for best and final offer and awards bid packages
- Anticipating and prevents potential problems through root cause analysis
- Collaborating with stakeholders to support planning, budgeting and risk management activities for the function
- Developing procurement strategies collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver best results in minimizing risk and costs
- Negotiating complex purchasing agreements
- Supporting project team activities aligning procurement activities and project timelines
The Global Indirect Procurement Manager has the following qualifications:
- 6+ years of indirect category purchasing / strategic sourcing experience
- Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree preferred)
- Has a strong contracts negotiations background
- Chemicals or other highly regulated industry experience preferred
