Job Description:
The Global Procurement Director for Chemicals and Coatings will be responsible for leading the strategic sourcing and procurement of chemicals and coatings for the company within the Global Sourcing team. The role will involve managing a team of four direct reports and working closely with internal stakeholders to develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement global procurement strategies for chemicals and coatings
Lead a team of four direct reports to execute sourcing and procurement activities
Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and vendors
Identify and develop new suppliers and vendors to diversify the company's sourcing options
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement activities align with overall business goals
Monitor and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures
Manage and report on procurement budget
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. business, supply chain management)
Minimum 10 years of experience sourcing chemicals and coatings
Strong leadership and management skills
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with procurement policies and procedures
Ability to work independently and remotely
Strong understanding of market trends and sourcing strategies for chemicals and coatings.
