Job Description: As a Global Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and success of the company by identifying new business opportunities and establishing strong relationships with clients and partners across the globe. You will be responsible for developing and executing business development strategies, expanding our client base, and ensuring the continued success of the freight forwarding services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and target potential clients and markets for business expansion.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and partners.
- Create and execute strategic business development plans to achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
- Analyse market trends and competitors to identify opportunities and threats.
- Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to potential clients.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and partners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations to provide expert advice to clients.
- Travel domestically and internationally as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in global business development within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
- Strong understanding of international shipping, customs regulations, and supply chain management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel frequently both domestically and internationally.
- Fluent in English and Dutch
