Position Overview:
The EHS and Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the environmental, health, and safety programs as well as managing facility operations. This role ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, promotes a safe and healthy work environment, and optimizes facility performance.
Key Responsibilities:
EHS Management:
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
- Manage incident reporting, investigations, and root cause analyses to prevent recurrence.
- Provide training and resources to employees on EHS best practices and emergency response protocols.
- Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics to senior management.
Facilities Management:
- Oversee daily operations of the facility, including maintenance, security, and safety systems.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs, renovations, and maintenance projects.
- Ensure that all facilities are maintained in a safe, clean, and efficient condition.
- Develop and manage the facilities budget, including forecasting and tracking expenditures.
- Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainability practices to improve facility efficiency.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for EHS and facilities-related inquiries and concerns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and sustainability.
- Prepare and present reports to management on EHS and facilities performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in EHS and facilities management.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental laws, and safety standards.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and facilities management software.
