Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our EHS programs at our Orlando, FL facility. The EHS Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, developing and implementing safety policies, and fostering a culture of safety throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant EHS regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and other local, state, and federal requirements.
- Program Development: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Training: Design and deliver EHS training programs to employees at all levels, ensuring awareness and adherence to safety standards.
- Incident Management: Lead investigations of EHS incidents, near misses, and accidents, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit EHS reports to regulatory agencies and company management.
- Sustainability: Promote sustainable practices and initiatives within the facility.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the EHS team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in EHS performance through the adoption of best practices and innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of EHS management experience in the chemical manufacturing industry or a similar environment.
- Certifications: Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or similar credentials are highly desirable.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
- Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in EHS management software and tools.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and drive a culture of safety and sustainability.
