A growing, successful Retail business, headquartered in the Mid-West, is now expanding their distribution network and going live with a launch of a new Distribution Center in Salt Lake City, UT. The successful candidate will need to have experience of managing large teams, strong team building skills, and have (ideally) experience in launching new facilities and implementing high standard, high quality of work, sustainable KPIs from day one. Attractive equity is also on offer for the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coach, lead, mentor and develop a team of 3 to 4 direct reports
- Lead seasonal staffing and production needs for the omni-channel fulfillment network
- Drive warehouse management system (WMS) implementation changes for efficient process flow, changes in business strategy, and always improving customer service initiatives
- Collect, analyze, report and present financial results, projects, and goals to the Sr. Director, executive team, advisory board, and peers as needed
- Collaborate with senior management team in setting company strategy and direction for the omni channel logistics based on future business development opportunities, external factors, emerging technology, and customer needs
- Develop and hire talented staff to support and execute the company strategy by setting clear direction, stretch goals, distribute work appropriately, plan activities, drive for results, follow-up and reward excellence and customer service
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Bachelor's degree (ideally in an analytical subject)
- 8+ years Warehousing and Distribution experience, ideally within a high volume, fast paced environment
- Experience in Retail industry (preferred, but not essential)
- Proven understanding of inbound and outbound operations
- Proven cost saving accomplishments on resume
