DSJ Global is currently partnered with a leading building materials company that is looking to bring on a Director of Transportation. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in scaling businesses, navigating regulatory frameworks, and optimizing transportation modes while fostering a collaborative team environment.
Requirements:
7+ years of experience in transportation leadership, with a focus on private fleet.
Demonstrated P&L responsibility, handling budgets of $40 million or more.
Proven track record in business growth and scaling operations.
In-depth knowledge of national and state-level DOT regulations influencing daily operations.
Expertise in various transportation modes, including Domestic Over the Road (OD/OS), Truckload (T/L), and Flatbeds.
Preferred Background:
Background in managing a private fleet or related experience.
Industry-specific familiarity, such as in manufactured housing, construction, or modular building transport.
Previous involvement in large-scale technology implementations (e.g., Lytx, Samsara, TMS).
Project management background, training, or certifications.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, or MBA (preferred).
