A Globally Renowned Fashion Business is looking to hire a new Director of Global Logistics for their HQ in NYC. The successful candidate will be able to join this fast-paced environment, to take ownership of the company's transportation network, and lead all inbound and outbound transportation to and from the Distribution Centers/Drop Ship locations. As well as lead the Transportation carrier selection and manage the performance of Freight Forwarders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure parcel, ocean, and trucking contracts are in place as required
- Manage all inbound and outbound Transportation from origin points to Distribution Centers and from Distribution Centers to customer locations
- Lead and oversee daily operations for the global logistics network
- Conduct freight costing of materials via multiple modes of shipping
- Evaluate and assess metrics and performance of freight & carrier operations, inventory, and transportation
- Oversee the logistics team that handles the day-to-day logistics of the global process.
- Assist in negotiation of freight accounts, including:
- UPS
- DHL
- LTL
- FTL
Minimum requirements for ideal candidate:
- Bachelor's degree (ideally in an analytical subject)
- 7 to 10 years of experience with international freight and brokerage
- Vast knowledge of international freight
