Position Overview:
My client is seeking an experienced Commodity Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sourcing and managing commodities used in manufacturing and distribution, particularly in foodservice and food production. The role involves working closely with the Procurement Directors to align strategies and manage key commodity categories, supplier programs, and procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Procurement Directors to integrate strategies for sourcing manufacturing and distribution materials, services, and processes.
- Oversee specific commodity categories, including flour, sugar, shortening/fats, chocolate/cocoa, eggs, starches, and sweeteners.
- Develop and implement strategic plans based on critical data analysis and forecasting.
- Manage Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for North American procurement needs in alignment with demand forecasts.
- Drive sustainable and profitable sales growth.
- Assist with supplier approval processes and support various corporate projects.
- Exhibit strong business acumen, customer focus, process management, and results-driven approach.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in procuring and managing the listed commodities.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience (2-5 years of relevant experience preferred).

Compensation:
$115,000-128,000 annual base salary, dependent on experience.
