IT Category Manager
Introduction:
Our client, a global leading pharmaceutical company is looking for an experienced IT Category Manager to join their team in Madrid, Spain. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the IT procurement team, ensuring that the procurement of IT goods and services are managed in a cost-effective manner.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for IT categories - software, hardware and IT services
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts
- Monitor supplier performance and report on supplier KPI's
- Develop and maintain the IT procurement budget
- Work with stakeholders to understand their IT needs and manage the procurement process
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures
- Provide guidance and support to the IT procurement team
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of IT procurement trends and best practices
Skills:
- Experience in IT procurement in software, hardware and IT services
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure and security
