General Summary:
A leading manufacturing company with global coverage is currently seeking a driven, and motivated individual to be their Buyer at their Oak Creek, WI site.
The Buyer will be responsible for:
- Management and maintenance of Suppliers with activities related to selection, forecasting, monitoring performance, and supplier corrective actions
- Generate and manage ERP (Oracle) purchase order releases for production and new product launch
- Create Material Purchase Authorizations for customers with activities around pricing, NCNR and pipeline liability maintenance
- Establish purchasing automation with blanket purchase orders
- Manage purchase order actions (reschedules / cancels / expedites / confirmations / supplier exceptions / closing short shipments
The Buyer should have the following qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Operations, Inventory or Purchasing Management or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of purchasing experience, preferably within the electronics industry
- Lean Supply Chain experience would be beneficial
- Certification or enrollment in APICs or PMAC is preferred
- ERP system experience within a Supply Chain environment including purchasing and inventory
